KCMT VARIETY SHOW POSTIONS
You must be of the age 13 or older to be a teen assistant in the KCMT Variety Show. Please note job titles are subject to change. The following tasks are typical for positions in this classification. Any single position may not perform all of these tasks and/or may perform similar related tasks not listed here.
Assistant Director
- Assists the Director in the audition process.
- Makes sure actors are behaving during rehearsals.
- Starts the warm-ups at the beginning of each rehearsal.
- Creates and maintains documents given by the Director.
- Performs requests given by the Director.
Choreographer
- Assists the Director in the audition process.
- Creates the dance numbers for the finale.
- Starts physical warm-ups at the beginning of each rehearsal.
- Performs requests given by the Director.
Publicist/Program Designer
- Creates new and innovative ideas to promote KCMT shows and auditions.
- Puts together the Variety Show poster.
- Contacts newspapers and local media.
- Writes articles needed for media.
- Reserves reader boards.
- Designs the KCMT Variety Show ticket.
- Designs the KCMT Variety Show program.
- Obtains cast bios.
- Performs requests given by the Director or Publicist.
Cast Caller
- Obtains a performance schedule from the director.
- Lines up all performers during show.
- Makes sure performers are entering and exiting the stage at the right time.
- Performs requests given by the Director.
Lobby Manager
- Creates the overall appearance for the lobby.
- Designs and builds the lobby display.
- Obtains cast bios.
- Collects the money from the tickets sells and donations at shows.
- Performs requests given by the Director.
Stage Manager
- Acquires Stage Crewmen.
- Assigns crewmen tasks to perform.
- Makes sure sets are making smooth transitions throughout the show.
- Assists in any construction or collection of materials needed for the sets.
